Fel­low Americans,

I under­stand that many of you are fright­ened. So am I. Amer­ica today is not the Amer­ica we grew up in and it’s not get­ting bet­ter. By speak­ing the truth, it allows me to live free of anx­i­ety.  You can­not stick your head in the sand and believe things will get bet­ter.  This is going to take action on everyone’s part. As an Amer­i­can, we have not just the right to be free, but the duty to exer­cise and express that free­dom respon­si­bly or risk los­ing it.  Truth is Love. In this let­ter, I would like to appeal to your ratio­nal sense of logic and crit­i­cal think­ing skills. Many Amer­i­cans today have no sense of the dan­ger posed  by restric­tions on the sec­ond amend­ment. I fear that crit­i­cal think­ing skills appear to be absent in this dis­cus­sion. I would like to address the three most recent chal­lenges to our sense of secu­rity. The more I pay atten­tion to this, the more my eyes open … We live in strange times.

PEACE means total and com­plete harmony

I am not intently famil­iar with the cir­cum­stances sur­round­ing Vir­ginia Tech other than the fact that this young man was on potent pre­scrip­tion med­ica­tion and under psy­chi­atric care.  In a back­pack, he car­ried sev­eral chains, locks, a ham­mer, a knife, two hand­guns with nine­teen 10 and 15 round mag­a­zines, and nearly 400 rounds.   He accessed his com­puter to delete his e-mail, and then removed the hard drive which has not been found.
